ARTIS grounds are for the most part, accessible to wheelchair, walker and mobility scooter users. Only the entrance to the Japanese Garden is less accessible to wheelchairs

Assistance dogs are permitted, they need to be registered at the ticket office upon presentation of dog identification card showing that the dog has been trained.

By public transport: Tram 14 stops at ARTIS, close to the main entrance. Tram 7 and 19 stop at Alexanderplein, a ten-minute walk from ARTIS. The nearest metro station is Waterlooplein, it is a ten-minute walk to ARTIS

By car: Parking is past main entrance (Plantage Kerklaan 40) and costs are €16.00. You can obtain an all-day parking ticket at the ARTIS ticket office during opening hours. You can also pay the hourly rate of €6.30 at the parking payment machine in the car park
