Best Ho Chi Minh City Tours in 2026 – Book Self-Guided Experiences

Ho Chi Minh City

This self-guided audio walk explores the colonial heart of Ho Chi Minh City and is ideal for first-time visitors who want architecture, city history, and street atmosphere in an easy format. You will hear clear guidance as you walk, while the city reveals itself through grand facades, busy boulevards, and everyday local life.

The route begins at the Saigon Opera House, where creamy stone, curved balconies, and carved details show the strong French influence on late 19th-century Saigon. From there, the tour widens its focus to Ho Chi Minh City itself, helping you read the layers of the modern metropolis: elegant colonial landmarks beside motorbikes, glass towers, and crowded sidewalks filled with heat, noise, and movement.

The walk ends at the Saigon Central Post Office, a landmark completed in 1891 and known for its long vaulted hall and period design. Along the way, you will experience some of the city’s most memorable contrasts: ornate European-style architecture in tropical light, the rush of urban energy around historic buildings, and the feeling of standing inside places that have connected Saigon’s past and present for more than a century.
