This picture-perfect mountain retreat was a monastery until transformed into a private palace by King Ferdinand II. The surrounding Park of Pena is just as big of a treat, full of exotic plant life and other secret treasures. Discover for yourself the 'Crown of the Sintra region'.

    • Kids under 6 get in free, please select a ticket for them
    • Reduced tickets for children 6-18 and seniors 65+ are available onsite
    • Please keep your ticket available during your visit
    • Inside the palace, you can't take photographs using flash or a tripod
    • No dogs are allowed in the palace and park, with the exception of guide dogs
    • Please note that the date mentioned on your ticket applies to Tiqets, not to its customers. Your ticket is valid for the date you booked
    • Getting there:
    • By foot: About 45 minutes walking from the center of Sintra
    • Bus: Scotturb Line 434 (Pena circuit) from Sintra Train Station
    • Train from Lisbon (Estação do Oriente, Estação do Rossio, or Estação de Entrecampos)
    • Please note that the venue is **not reachable by car**
    • Transfer services:
    • There is a paid transfer service available bringing guests from the park entrance to the palace. The service runs every 15 minutes and is wheelchair accessible
    • There's a free hop-on hop-off transfer service available between the Palace and the Chalet of the Countess of Edla. Simply show your entrance ticket and hop on!
    • Show your smartphone ticket at the Porta Férrea entrance.
