Escape the confines of 21st-century living and discover a simpler time at Skansen, the world's oldest open-air museum. Like a time capsule of pre-industrialized Sweden, Skansen takes you on an immersive journey into the past to engage with amazing Scandinavian folk traditions, craftsmanship, and culture that modern life has long forgotten.
    • Buggies can be rented at the entrance
    • Storage boxes available at the entrance and Galejan fairground - bring 10-crown coins
    • On New Year's Eve, the park will be closed between 16:00-20:00
    • Kids under 4 get in free
    • No dogs, except assistance dogs
    • On some weekends, e.g. the Christmas Market, prices may differ
    • Picnics may be brought in and eaten in the dedicated picnic areas.
    • Discover Stockholm’s greatest Midsummer celebrations! At Skansen, Midsummer lasts for three days between 23 and 25 June, with activities from the morning and well into the bright summer night naturally including dancing around the maypole
    • Please note that the staff providing the background information at each house are volunteers and it can't be guaranteed that all staff speak English
    • Show your smartphone ticket to the reception staff at the entrance
    • Valid ID/student ID needed for free & reduced tickets
