With over 3000 species of native and exotic plants, exploring the botanical gardens will take visitors across the world without ever needing to leave Florida. The wildlife sanctuary is also home to over 85 native species, including the garden’s namesake, the flamingo, and is a fantastic place to relax and be at one with nature.

- •Wildlife Encounters are presented daily at 11:30 am, 1:30 pm, and 3:30 pm (weather permitting) at the Outdoor Amphitheater.

- •The Narrated Tram Tour leaves every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Tram leaves every hour, on the hour, weekdays during August and September)

- •From Miami, take the I-95 to the I-595 West. Take the Flamingo Road/Hiatus Road exit (combined exit 2 & 3). Follow the signs for Flamingo Road. Turn left at the traffic lights onto Flamingo Road to the intersection with SW 36th Ct. and Flamingo Gardens will be on your left (east side).
