    • Explore the historical tram depot

The Museum of Municipal Engineering is housed in an old depot of horse-drawn and electric trams. This complex was built in stages in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Today it is one of the few such depots in Europe preserved in its entirety. These buildings, with their historic interiors, are a perfect place to learn more about public transport evolution and technological progress.

    • Admire vintage tramcars

The museum collection includes trams, automobiles, and motorcycles, as well as early sound and picture technology, industrial machinery, and other technical artifacts. The main highlight is one of only two historic C-type railcars, the oldest Polish tram carriages, that have survived to nowadays.

The Museum of Municipal Engineering is located in the center of the historical Kazimierz district of Kraków at 15 Św. Wawrzyńca Street. You can quickly get there by light rail. The closest stations are Św. Wawrzyńca and Plac Wolnica. Both of them are a 5-minute walk from the museum.
