What started out as a church, ended up as a burial site for the great men and women of France, those who have positively influenced the nation and its development. The monument is filled with artwork, from sculptures to frescos, paintings, tapestries, and more....all demonstrating the nation's fervor for the Republic. From the patriotic sculptures on the façade to the nationalistic artwork inside, the Pantheon honors the values of the Republic.
