Buckingham Palace is open Thursday to Monday and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

From July to August, Buckingham Palace is open to visitors from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, with last admission at 5:15 PM. Starting from September through October, the palace is open from 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with last admission at 4:15 PM.

Buckingham Palace is a royal residence, so make sure to check opening times before your visit. Set aside at least two hours to explore the State Rooms and over four hours if you plan to experience the Royal Day Out.

  • Royal Day Out ticket price

Buckingham Palace offers admission to the Queen’s Gallery and the Royal Mews in addition to the State Rooms. The price is £55 for adults, £36 for young people (18-24), and £30 for children (5-17) and people with reduced mobility.

  • Discounts and free admission

Families of at least one adult and two children up to two adults and four children can receive a discount up to £25. Groups of 15 visitors and more can receive 10% off tickets.

Buckingham Palace offers free admission to children under five.
