About Constitution Square

Constitution Square is a square built on top of the ruins of the Beck bastion from the 17th century. This square is one of the most notable places in Luxembourg. Here are some of the highlights of this locale:
- It offers a commanding view of the city. Due to its position at the top of Luxembourg, visitors can see a breathtaking view of the Adolphe Bridge and Pétrusse Parks in the Pétrusse Valley.
- Constitution Square is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Luxembourg. It’s one of the best meeting spots in the city and a perfect place to meet the locals. The square is also home to the famous Gëlle Fra monument (officially known as the Monument of Remembrance), dedicated to soldiers from Luxembourg who died in WWI, WWII, and the Korean War.
- You can take part in many events in the square. Various organizations in the city host many events here throughout the year. One of the most notable is Marché de Noël, a Christmas fair hosted from November to January.
Constitution Square is located in Luxembourg City. You can easily reach it by bus, light rail, or on foot.
Bus routes 10, 16, 18, 112, and a few others will take you there. The bus stop nearest to the square is Centre, F.D. Roosevelt (10 and 18); this stop is only four minutes from it. Luxembourg, Place de Metz is the closest tram station to your destination; walk for about 15 minutes to reach it.
You can visit the square any time during any season of the year. If you want to avoid crowds, we recommend going there on weekdays or in the morning.
