The museum is open to visitors Wednesday to Monday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with the last admission at 5:00 PM.
Palazzo Madama is an indoor museum, so you don't need to be concerned about weather conditions. There are fewer visitors during fall and winter, so it's best to visit this museum then. We also recommend going there on weekdays or in the morning for the same reason.
This luxurious palace received its name thanks to extensive renovations and changes made by two residents, Christine of France and Marie Jeanne of Savoy. Both were regents of Savoy, hence the palace's nickname. Currently, the Madama Palace hosts the Museum of Ancient Art. Here are some of the points of interest in this palace:
Palazzo Madama is at the heart of Turin, in Piazza Castello. You can get there by bus, tram, train, or on foot. The following bus routes pass close to Palazzo Madama: 8, 11, 50, 55, 56, and 72. Trams 4 and 13 will get you close to the museum as well.
The full-priced ticket costs €10, while seniors and youth from 15 to 25 years old need to pay only €8. Children under 18 and people with disabilities can enter for free.
