About Kungstradgarden Park
The park accepts visitors only on weekdays. From Monday to Thursday, it’s open from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On Fridays, you can visit the park from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The best time to visit the park is in April because this is when cherry blossoms bloom. We recommend going there in the morning or evening to avoid crowds.
Kungstradgarden Park is a park in the center of Stockholm. This royal garden has been present in one form or another since the first half of the 15th century. In 1970, the park officially became the property of the city of Stockholm. Here are some of the things you can do there:
- Attend fairs, open-air performances, and other events. The park is a popular venue for many events in Stockholm. It’s also a popular hangout spot due to its location at the heart of the city.
- Take a walk through squares dedicated to two Swedish kings. Charles XII’s Square is in the southern part; at its center stands a statue of the king. At the center of the park is another statue; this one is dedicated to Charles XIII.
- Admire beautiful fountains. There are two fountains in the park: the Fountain of Molin and the Fountain of Wolodarski. The Molin’s Fountain displays several figures from Norse mythology. The Fountain of Wolodarski is surrounded by a grove of Sakura trees.
Kungstradgarden Park is at the heart of Stockholm; you can easily reach it by public transportation.
Kungstradgarden is the closest bus stop; bus routes 2, 54, and 57 will take you there.
