How to go to Sziget Festival for free

How to get to the festival

The festival is located on Óbuda Island, a small island in the Danube River, north of the city center of Budapest. You can get to the island by different means of transportation, such as:

    You can take bus lines 34, 106, or 226 to the Hajógyári-sziget stop or bus line 9 to the Szentlélek tér stop. From there, you can walk or take a shuttle bus to the island.

    By boat
    You can take the boat line D11 or D12 from various stops along the Danube to the Hajógyári-Sziget stop. The boat service is free for Sziget ticket holders.
  • 3
    By bike or scooter
    You can cycle to the island and use one of the free bike parks there. You can also rent a bike or a scooter from one of the bike rental services in Budapest.

Where to watch Sziget Festival 2023

If you can't make it to the festival, you can still watch some of the performances online via live stream. Sziget Festival usually provides live streaming of some of the main stage acts on its official website or YouTube channel.
