Discovered by Cantabrian miners in 1908, the El Soplao cave offers one of the most impressive speleological sights in Europe. A wonder of geology, you’ll have the chance to see eccentrics, stalactites, stalagmites, lava flows, columns, pearls of the caverns, and dog-tooth crystals.
Named after the blowing air that is felt when a tunnel with less oxygen perforates another, El Soplao is an essential visit for anyone in the region. This subterranean theatre is a spectacle of sensations, with a play of shadow and light, and an abundance of color that will leave you fascinated by the potential of nature.

- •-We inform you that the train to access El Soplao Cave is out of service until further notice till March '2026..The entrance to the cave is via a 300-meter walk from the train station to the cave's interior. This does not affect the quality of the visit or the tour of the cave.

- •Please arrive at the entrance 30 minutes before the selected time (the road to El Soplao has many curves, so plan your journey to arrive on time). Failure to show up on time and outside the established time periods will result in the loss of entry rights
- •Arriving outside of the specified hours will result in a loss of entry rights, regardless of later availability
