Cathedral self-guided tour was the best value for money of any of the paid-for attractions I visited in Porto. Lots of history, architecture and azulejo tiles to be inspired by! Brilliant views from the top of the cathedral tower. I was lucky enough to hear the cathedral organ in action and see a liturgical procession involving the bishop, as the end of my visit coincided with the start of a big service inside the cathedral. My one criticism would be the handling of arriving visitors - the queueing was a bit chaotic with no-one in charge at the entrance before one reached the actual box office and, as someone who had advance-booked online, I would have expected to be able to go straight in, which I could not.
