When friends ask me where to wander in Zürich, I usually send them first to Kreis 4 and 5. Around Langstrasse and Zürich West, old industrial spaces now hold design shops, great coffee, and night spots locals actually use. For a slower side of Zürich, I love Niederdorf in the early morning, before the crowds, when the lanes around Grossmünster still feel intimate.
