After you finish exploring it on your own, unpause this tour and continue through the streets of Olot. You’ll explore a town shaped by lava, faith, workshops, and elegant public spaces. The route starts at Espai Cràter, where Olot’s volcanic setting comes into focus, then continues to the Antiga Plaça de Braus and up to Volcà del Montsacopa. Along the way, you’ll reach the Torres de Sant Francesc and wide views over the town and its surrounding hills. Back in the center, the walk leads through the parish church of Saint Stephen, Casa Gaietà Vila, Principal Theatre, Casa Museu Can Trincheria, and Museu de la Garrotxa, revealing Olot’s artistic and religious traditions. The tour ends at Parc Nou, a green and peaceful finish that brings the story back to nature. The most memorable moments include standing on an extinct volcano in the middle of town, seeing dark volcanic stone in historic architecture, stepping into noble interiors and artist traditions, and enjoying panoramic views of Olot.
